To use a dumpy correctly you could communicate by telling and showing the person by the manual and explaining to that person how to operate the dumpy properly. When reading the levels through the scope a good way to check that if the levels are accurate is having two people reading the scope and taking down the measurements to see if they both have the same measurements. Also , you can use the dumpy to communicate to others about the right height for the job that you are doing or the height of the FFL. The use of the data recorded could be used to find the floor level height on each corner of the house and to work out how much dirt you would have to take out. The documentation involved in this incident is the spot levels sheet and the house plans for where about's you would set up .
How do you communicate how to use the dumpy correctly and how do you check the levels are accurate. Think of explaining how to use and record data correctly to some one who does not know how to do it. Keep it up. -Campbell
